#CDN migration workspace

This directory holds reproducible tooling and notes for rebuilding the cloned CDN route at /mnt/storage/new-cdn.

The live route at /mnt/storage/cdn is the source of truth for the initial clone and must stay untouched until the new route, URL updates, and dependent databases are verified.

#Current decisions

• video/ becomes vids/.
• images/ and photos/ collapse into pics/.
• Current referenced images win canonical slots by default.
• Existing public basename conventions override newer draft slug ideas.
• Fictional characters all move to pics/people/characters/.
• Books move to pics/media/books/{slug}/, without Library of Congress classification subdirectories.
• photos.krisyotam.com is a rebuild target after the final tree and manifest are stable.

#First-pass outputs

The first manifest pass should produce:

• an inventory of every file in /mnt/storage/new-cdn;
• a URL reference index from src/krisyotam.com, lit/content, and src/photos.krisyotam.com;
• a proposed path map with canonical/variant status;
• a review list for ambiguous classes, duplicate canonical candidates, and source buckets not yet covered by the docs.

Do not delete old paths from new-cdn during the first pass. Build the map, review it, then move files in a separate step.

• Migration workdir on STARGATE: /mnt/storage/cdn-migration
• Full inventory output: /mnt/storage/cdn-migration/new-cdn-inventory.tsv

The inventory hashes every file. It may appear idle at the beginning because large archive files are hashed before the first TSV row is flushed.
