<p>Let us come before the Lord and pray for the grace to resist lust and impure desires.</p>
<p>Lord, have mercy on us for the times we have allowed our thoughts and actions to be consumed by lust and sexual desire.</p>
<p>Lord, have mercy on us for the times we have objectified others and failed to see them as whole persons, created in your image.</p>
<p>Lord, have mercy on us for the times we have pursued sexual pleasure outside of the bounds of marriage, and failed to honor the covenant of love and fidelity.</p>
<p>Lord, have mercy on us for the times we have consumed pornography and other media that objectifies and exploits others for our own pleasure.</p>
<p>Lord, have mercy on us for the times we have been unfaithful to our spouses or partners, and caused pain and brokenness in our relationships.</p>
<p>Lord, have mercy on us for the times we have neglected our own emotional and spiritual needs, and sought to fulfill them through sexual pleasure.</p>
<p>Lord, have mercy on us for the times we have failed to respect the dignity and worth of our own bodies, and treated them as mere instruments of pleasure.</p>
<p>May we seek to imitate the purity and self-control of Christ, who was tempted in every way yet did not sin, and who taught us to honor our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit.</p>
<p>Amen.</p>
